“After assembling the wooden quilt pieces, I had leftover printed paper. I call them ‘fish bones’, skeletons, basically, scraps, of the original printed art, much like a quilter has leftover fabric. When a friend asked if he could have a few of the fish bones, this got me thinking ‘what can I do with these?’ The logical conclusion was, of course, paper
quilts. Time consuming but worth the effort.”
